Registrations for organisations to participate in Norfolk Heritage Open Days (HODs) closed on 13 August 2026. If you're interested in opening your doors, giving a tour, or sharing your local history, you can register your interest in participating in 2027 on the national Heritage Open Days website.
Sharing stories, celebrating communities and bringing people together is at the heart of the festival. Around 200 organisers from organisations, businesses and voluntary groups take part in Norfolk HODs each year, giving their time and expertise to showcase the very best of the county’s rich history to local visitors and those from further afield.
It's completely free for organisations and individuals to take part in Heritage Open Days - there's no cost to register or participate. The festival is completely flexible, so you can run your event over as many or as few days as you like.
